Haubentaucher (Podiceps cristatus)

Haubentaucher (Podiceps cristatus) sind auf Süßwasserseen mit Röhrichbewuchs relativ häufig anzutreffen. Es handelt sich um einen weitverbreiteten Lappentaucher, der in der Paläarktis aber auch in den Subtropen von Südwest-Europa und Nordafrika bis nach China verbreitet ist. Auch in Deutschland zählt diese Art zu den häufigen Brutvögeln. 

In seinem Bestand ist der Haubentaucher derzeit nicht bedroht.
